The Wins...They are Coming!

Hi sensei
I love it, hone it day by day. I am reading all the manuals you gave me on the way, its fascinating, all the bonus stuff. I 've learned more in a minute from watching and reading (you) than in whole live classes, seriously. You really changed my mind about Karate, that's most unusual. Thru your system and instruction it takes now about 1-3 days to understand and memorize a kata, deeply ingrained. That's high speed! I see the light...
Will

I do the form several times a day, whole and in section, its really fun, and at times I even feel the Qi flow, its fascinating, I was never really pro kata until now...lol ~ Will

...I just felt I had to tell you...I just completed (the first form) in one go, all sixteen moves...nothing special, still needs a lot polishing, but your 4 step system is grand!!!! Honestly, the directions you have given, and the graphics, it can't be any easier, wow, so precise and accurate. This is truly awesome. Its a fun way to do, too. I followed the checklist...

Hi Al,
Your Kang Duk Won orange-belt course is amazing!

People say that kids are supposed to learn faster than adults, and
that is generally true. But I have the feeling that I'm learning way
faster than when I was as a kid!
It is not astonishing, I can train when I want, I can 'see the
teacher' showing me the forms and techniques as many time I want,
thus I'm more motivated and there is no culpability with missing a
lesson or anything.

Plus, Your course is clear and complete. For the first time, I came to
really understand, and see the usefulness, of what I'm doing! It is
very simple yet very complete, a true joy to go through.  What a change
for me!

The last time I practice karate was 8 years ago, trying to get my
brown belt (2nd kyu) for the third time. I failed... again, and the
only thing they said was "your kata wasn't Ok," but without telling
me exactly what was wrong or how to fix it.
Since then I left karate, and martial arts except a few courses of
tai chi from time to time, having in mind that these 'martial arts
things' were not really for me, as I couldn't understand it.

But here I'm back on track of martial arts!

I train when I managed to find some time...being a married man, a
social worker in pedagogy and a Zen Buddhist priest that is not always
easy... but so rewarding!

In addition to the lessons, I do your 'Square Form' as much as possible, and I practice the first form each morning and night in a kind of Tai Chi way (to work on balance and movement).

What a pleasure to practice a form (kata) again! Of course, I'm sure
I'm still making mistakes, and have to train more, but I was amazed how
easy it was to learn the form!

I'm training as much as I can on my own, and managed to train with a
friend once week, to practice the applications.

I want to share my happiness of having found a system that is
rational, complete, very traditional in a way, and that allows me to
train and share the practice of martial arts without taking time on my
job, family or Buddhist practice! A true pearl! Thank you! ~ Luis L.

Hi Sensei!
I really like the way you have it structured, awesome, that's the format i 've been looking for, thank you...I have a lot of fun doing it...I see karate now with different eyes, no shotokan washed down mess,...I actually do feel like I am learning true karate, not the mickey mouse version Bruce Lee raged about ....thank you for opening my eyes and mind to that.
Thanks for everything, happy workout... ~ Will

Al, thank you for the downloads from the bottom of my heart! Now I can train again. ~ Mike

...this website is complete and professional...The contents are numerous,
the historical side is there, the progression into the program is
clearly explained... frankly it is fantastic. The most bizarre thing
is the fact that it is so cheap... today if something is not expensive
it must be "a copy", or a fraud... sad...
Anyway you did great work. ~ Luis L

Imperial Karate really makes sense ~ Sean P

When I saw u r offering (Kang Duk Won) I got excited! ...Now I have a chance to learn true Karate! And not watered down versions! Thanks Al for offering such programs for us yearning for knowledge.  ~ Mike
